Wishlist

This is a wish list for features of ThunderBirthDay. I'll try to implement as much of them as possible, but I don't promise anything. If you have another idea for a feature or if you want to comment a point in the list, please use the feedback form.

  • Make compatible with Thunderbird 3/Lightning 1.0
  • Solve problem with February 29 (birthday appears only in leap years in some cases)
  • Make compatible with Lightning Inverse Edition 0.9.5
  • Make compatible with SeaMonkey (2.0)
  • Make ThunderBirthDay calendars support reminders (requires editability)
  • Make ThunderBirthDay calendars editable
  • Possibility to enable/disable single birthdays for TBD
  • Allow import of dates from custom fields in user defined format
  • Support anniversaries, too
  • Additionally, support the custom fields (no need for MoreFunctionsForAddressBook that way)
  • Support birthdays without year (don't display age in this case)
  • OR show graphical feedback in input form when birthday is (not) recognised
  • Right-click on birthday -> send email
  • Possibility to hide certain birthdays in the calendar
  • Set category to "birthday", or make category configurable
  • Make event title configurable
  • Somehow synchronize with other calendars (ICAL, Google calendar, WebDAV, etc...)
  • Automatically “Export calendar…” or “Publish calendar…” on shutdown
  • Display year in the title (instead of age) for printing list of birthdays
  • Make work with LDAP/offer possibility to import from LDAP
  • Open Word/OOo to write a greeting
  • Copy name + birthday to clipboard
  • Show countdown for upcomming birthdays (like Birthday Reminder)
