I'm using disposable email addresses since a long time. As a consequence, almost don't get spam. Today, I discovered a new trash mail provider, which I want to present along with the ones I knew before. Many people I know still don't have a clue what a disposable email address is. Maybe this post will change that a bit!

The problem of spam is that you have to give away your email address not only to your friends, but also to many different companies. Not all of them are serious and some of them sell your email addresses. Once in the hand of spammers, your email address is infected forever. The trick is not to get there in the first place.

The principle of one time email addresses (or spam holes) is just like creating one address for each company, but much easier. If you need to register to download some software, you just type software_name@mailinator.com instead of you own one. When they send you an email with the download link, you go to http://mailinator.com, enter software_name and get your email immediately. There's no password, no registration. That means you can use a certain email address withouth having to create it beforehand. Of course, that also means that you shouldn't use these kind of addresses for confidential purposes.

Using this technique consequently keeps your private email address private and, in the best case, your spam rate at 0!
